Ingredients
  

Ground Turkey
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
Bowl Base and Toppings
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce or chopped romaine
  • 2 cups roasted potatoes or cooked rice optional
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced pickles
  • 1/4 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar optional
Simple Burger Sauce
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pickles or relish
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the ground turkey and break it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
  3. Season the turkey with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Cook until the turkey is fully done and reaches 165°F on a food thermometer.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the Greek yogurt, ketchup, mustard, pickle juice, chopped pickles, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  6. Prepare the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onion, and optional cheddar.
  7. Add lettuce, roasted potatoes, or rice to each bowl.
  8. Top with cooked turkey, tomatoes, pickles, red onion, optional cheddar, and burger sauce.
  9. For meal prep, store the turkey, base, toppings, and sauce separately until ready to eat.

Notes

Use lettuce for a lighter bowl or rice or potatoes for a more filling bowl.
Keep sauce and fresh toppings separate for the best meal prep texture.
Let the cooked turkey cool slightly before packing it with other ingredients.
